DIABOLICAL BEAUTY, CATALOG Design, Concept, Exhibiion catalog and related media                           Working directly with curators Colin Gardner and Jane Callister, production on this catalog was intimately linked to the exhibition's overarching attempts to straddle the line between the beautiful and diabolical. Of course these concerns are bigger than mere aesthetics, and as such, the design attempts to echo the selected artists of the exhibition by articulating a bigger conceptual link to historical and philosophical notions of the sublime. Sinewy twisting vector shapes and a deeply saturated red and burgundy palette frame the artwork and the extensive text in such a way that the reader becomes entangled with the work.
